This project is a google maps api exercise. It currently pulls data from a manually updated xml file. Currently I am building a SOAP application to pull data directly from NOAH. The application was designed as a Facebook application under the old Facebook API.

note: the new Facebook API does not accomodate Google Maps API iframes.

For this project we provided a css based template for an offshore development team, they completed the web application and returned the files in table heavy code. The application is being stripped of table architecture and replaced with css floats. The end result is a faster application and reduced development time. In addition, the application function and database is able to be kept at an arms length from the content management function and databse via an XML & SOAP application. This project is in BETA testing for a scheduled sprin launch.

This is on of my personal pet projects. Most of the initial function was hired to an overseas developer. I continue to develope the site and promote it on the search engines. The entire recipe database is designed to be accessible via an RSS Feed.

The Houston-Galveston Area Council has made plans to improve the mobility of South Highway 6 from FM521 to I-10. While we are pleased with their efforts to improve Houston’s mobility, there is a significant oversight that we need your help in pointing out.

The proposed esplanade at HWY 6 and Alderwick built, as proposed, will cause traffic bottle necks during peak traffic hours. The road East on Alderwick is shown as a right turn only at HWY 6. To go north on HWY 6 at this intersection, the driver would have to turn south on HWY 6 and then go south to Old Richmond and U-turn if the esplanade is constructed, as proposed. The esplanade should be re-planned with a cut whereby drivers can go North or South at Highway 6.
